Niykee, who has had a whirlwind few years including getting picked by Snoop to join him on The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee has a regular songwriting routine even though she has been a bit busy. At present, she is a magnet to aspiring artists, she is constantly looking over beats that are sent to her and finds that many result in sparking ideas for songs. She claims that she is able to determine if the beat is a good one in less than five seconds. Then, a new track will come into her brain. As I play my guitar on my front porch I begin writing, and words flow. Most often, I'm done in about 30 minutes. The pain of Niykee's childhood can be a constant source of inspiratation as she progresses as an author. When I'm not writing directly about events that have occurred to me, the trauma of my childhood and the loss of my sister end up getting pushed into my music she says. The memories influence my songs and creates a deeper understanding behind all things that's an important thing for me. I want to be able to say that I could listen to any of my songs 20 years later and be proud of what I had to say.
